Aurie and the Angel
Aurie stumbled into the garden, tears streaming down her cheeks. She ran to her apple tree, which stood at the back of her grandmother's garden, and sank down against its trunk. She buried her face in her hands and sobbed deeply.
She always came here when she could no longer cope with the world, when she felt overwhelmed and could no longer bear the suffering and heaviness on earth.
She had just come home from school. The children there were beginning to take over the adults' war. Who was for it, who was against it? Suddenly there was hatred and defensiveness where yesterday they had played peacefully together in unity. There was no more understanding, no listening to the other, no attempt to see the other as a valuable person. When Aurie had mustered the courage to stand up for a coexistence, hatred suddenly hit her. She had to choose a side. Why? When she could understand both. The teachers offered no support to resolve this dispute. With their attitude and way of thinking, they widened the gap that had developed between the children. This was too much for Aurie. She was deeply sad and her heart was almost torn apart with grief. She could not imagine that this war would ever end. The pain and heaviness had increased more and more recently. The longing in her heart for peace and quiet, for love and community was so great. She prayed fervently that she could return to the place where there was only silence, where everything was carried by love. She wanted so much to be held, deeply protected and protected from this pain.
As she looked through her fingers with tear-filled eyes, she suddenly saw a figure in front of her. Very blurry. It took a while before she could focus her gaze and wipe the tears away. She was amazed. In front of her sat a - yes, what was sitting there? It looked like a human, a young man, but was completely wrapped in light and radiated deep love. The figure looked at her kindly. His robe was made of bright and flowing yellow-orange. And she could even see wings behind him! Was that - an angel? She stared at him in disbelief.
"Hello Aurie," he said calmly.
“H...Hello,” Aurie said, full of amazement.
Then she continued to stare at the angel and he smiled back good-naturedly. Aurie was captivated by his radiance and a deep sense of peace spread through her the longer she looked at him. At some point she found the courage to ask him: "Where are you coming from now?"
“You called me,” he answered calmly.
"Me?" Aurie asked incredulously. "I was sitting here crying. I certainly didn't call anyone."
"Yes. You have asked intensely to be held and protected from this deep pain."
Aurie was speechless. “But I didn’t say that out loud!”
“Yes, that’s true. But your heart has spoken, my love. And I can hear it.”
Aurie had to digest that first. She had never experienced anyone being able to hear the language of her heart.
"Are you an angel?" she asked curiously at some point. After all, she had to find out who she was actually talking to.
“Yes. Your guardian angel.”
"My guardian angel?" Aurie's grandmother prayed with her every evening that her guardian angel would accompany her and protect her at night. This prayer made Aurie feel very good before falling asleep, because she firmly believed that she would then be protected at night. However, she found it hard to believe that her guardian angel actually existed and even appeared before her.
"You and your grandmother have spoken to me every night since you were born. I have never left your side."
“But I’ve never seen you before,” said Aurie.
"Yes, you could see me as a baby. You probably just can't remember it anymore. Since no one around you can see angels, at some point you stopped believing in my existence and that's why you couldn't see me anymore. Learning on Earth works like this: we orient ourselves on others."
“Does my grandmother see you?” Aurie wanted to know.
"No. But out of her deep love for you, she began to pray with you for your protection and that strengthened her and your faith in me."
"And what's your name?" Aurie frowned. Do angels even have names? She wanted to continue talking to him because she was curious. To do that, she had to know his name.
„Noah.“
“Is that a name for an angel?”
Noah laughed. "That's the name you can call me."
Aurie looked at Noah with her head tilted. "If you say you've always been with me, why can I only see you now?
“Because you called for me just today.”
“So if I had called you earlier, you would have shown up sooner?”
"Yes, Aurie. Because today it was your deepest wish to feel my security and protection. I can only be there for you and help you if you ask for it."
“But why? If you are my guardian angel, then you MUST be there for me, right?” That’s what her grandmother always told her.
"I am always with you, but I can never act against your will. And until now, your desire to be in contact with me was not deep within you. Only today did you express it intensely from your heart."
"You said my grandmother can't see you. How can I see you? No one has ever told me they can see an angel."
"You have the gift, Aurie. You believe that I exist, you approach me openly and with love and trust. And you speak from the heart, you simply follow your feelings. You can see me because it is your deepest desire. And another very important point: you do not believe the idea shared by a large part of humanity that I do not exist. You are also open to gaining new experiences."
"Noah, I notice that a deep peace now fills me and the pain from before disappears the longer I look at you. Your radiance and your loving look penetrate deep into my heart."
"Yes, by looking at me you remember that you are not the pain of the world. You remember the love that you are and that radiates from your heart. And you remember the unity, the community in which everything is connected to everything."
"This is helping me a lot right now. I thought earlier that I would rather die so that I wouldn't have to endure all this anymore. I don't want to wage war. I don't want to hate anyone. But I feel like my attempts to counteract this aren't working. And I can hardly stand it when I have to feel this hatred and this heaviness."
"I can understand your pain. But in order for hate to overshadow the love in you, like it did earlier when you were crying like that, you have to allow it."
"I don't get it," Aurie interrupted. "I didn't ask to be hated."
"That's right. You can't change the behavior of others. It is their free will to act as they want. Even if they don't behave for the good of all people. It is their experience that they choose. You can, however, decide what you let into your heart and what you don't. Just as you have decided not to hate others and to continue to approach them with love and openness."
“How is that supposed to work?” Aurie wondered.
"I'll show you an exercise, Aurie," Noah replied. "Before you can do something for others, it's important that you first learn to protect yourself and your energy field. With an empty battery, you can't charge another empty battery. If your energy is empty, you can't counteract the hate and the heaviness. Do you understand that?"
"That makes sense to me. But how do I do that? I can feel this heaviness, hatred and fear everywhere. It's overwhelming! Here under my apple tree is one of the few places where I can find peace."
"What you just said is very important. There are places where you can find peace. Where a different energy prevails and you can get back in touch with yourself, with the peace and love within you. And it is very important to visit these places regularly, to recharge your batteries there and really relax. A place in nature, like under your apple tree, is very suitable for this. We find this easier in nature because nature radiates love. And you always know that a place is good for you by whether you can calm down there and feel good there, and get your energy back. Anyone can look for places like that. The others can learn something from you, Aurie." Noah winked mischievously at Aurie.
Aurie didn't know how long the angel would stay and she really wanted to learn this exercise beforehand.
"Close your eyes, Aurie, and listen to your breathing to be completely with yourself. Now imagine that you are holding a large brush in your hand. With this brush you can paint an egg of light or a ball of light around you. Really imagine how you do that. Consciously paint bright light around you with each brush stroke. Check that you are really completely enveloped by this light and that there is no gap left. Did you manage that?"
"And."
"Very good! Now feel that you are completely safe and protected in this light. From the outside, only everything that is loving, positive and for the good of all can reach your heart. Everything negative, however, bounces off your light shell and cannot touch you in your heart. Conversely, only everything positive and loving can penetrate from you out into the world. Everything that is not for the good of all stays with you, because that is your responsibility. Now consciously feel the protection of your light shell, how you are completely enclosed, gently carried and protected by it." [1]
Aurie noticed how she could slowly breathe more deeply again the more she focused on her egg of light. "I feel like I finally have space again and that hate isn't taking over everything."
"Exactly, Aurie. No one can take your space away from you unless you allow them to. Now it is important that you learn to know your space clearly and to define which energy you allow into your heart. That is the foundation for everything else. Practice seeing your light egg several times a day. In the morning in bed, before you get up, in the shower, on the bus, at school, in the playground, under your apple tree... And keep checking to see if it is there and completely enveloping you. It is like training in sports. The more often you practice it, the easier it will be for you. And the easier it will be for you to activate it quickly when you need increased protection."
"I will do that, Noah. Absolutely. Because I don't want to be defenseless any longer, exposed to hate and fear."
Noah smiled at her.
"Noah, why don't we learn something like that in school? It's really important! If all children could do that, then we wouldn't be at war with each other and we could continue to play and have fun together, regardless of who has what opinion."
"You know, Aurie, the teachers can only teach you what they have already learned themselves. If they haven't had the experience yet, they can't pass on this knowledge. By having a new experience now and doing something different, others can learn from you. Because they will notice the difference. Then there will be people who ask about it and you can share your knowledge with them."
"Why can't I just tell everyone? It's so important!" Aurie asked impatiently.
"That would be of no use, because everyone has to be willing to learn something new. You can't force them to do it. But by simply doing it, you make the people who want to learn curious. That makes it easier to learn something new."
Aurie laughed. "Yes, I know that from school. When I'm curious, it's much easier to learn. If I don't feel like it, it doesn't work."
Noah looked at Aurie good-naturedly. "Do you feel, Aurie, that you can practice this well in school now? As I said, be aware that you can never change the others. But everything that happens is an opportunity for you to learn something new. Now you can learn how to react to it and you have an intensive training field in which you can learn to protect your energy field."
"Yes, now I feel better prepared when I go back to school tomorrow. Thanks, Noah."
"Good, Aurie. Then we are finished with our conversation for today." The angel stood up.
"Stop!" cried Aurie. "How can I meet you again?"
“How did you meet me today?” Noah asked with a smile.
“I had a very deep desire in my heart.”
"Exactly. And that's exactly how it will work again. Be aware that I am always with you, even if you can't see me. And I can hear the language of your heart."
“I would really like to know how you can talk to your guardian angel even if you can’t see him.”
"I'll be happy to answer that for you, dear Aurie. But not today. That's too much at once." Noah smiled good-naturedly. "We'll also talk about what your value is to the world. Because you're here for a reason. It would be a great shame if your light were to disappear from the earth now."
“I have value to the world?” Aurie asked, astonished.
"Absolutely! But as I said, we'll talk about that another time. Now you should practice protecting your energy field. Dear Aurie, thank you for the conversation today."
Noah walked around Aurie and disappeared behind the apple tree. Aurie could no longer see him, but she had the feeling that he was still there. She could still feel the loving look he had given her, and the warmth and well-being that had spread throughout her body remained.
Happy and deeply touched, she sat under her apple tree. For the first time in a long time, she felt like she could breathe freely again. She practiced seeing herself in her egg of light for a bit before she got up and leisurely walked back to the house.
She made a firm decision to practice the light egg intensively, including at school. She was excited to see what changes this would make. But above all, she wanted to continue talking to Noah and learn even more.
