Aurie and the Silence

Aurie had hung the picture of her vision that she had painted above her bed. She sat in front of it every evening and looked at it for a long time. She had stuck the photo of the three-year-old, beaming Aurie in the middle. When she looked at herself, she was deeply touched. She had the feeling that she was getting back in touch with the deep love within herself. Her parents and her grandmother also often sat in front of it and looked at the picture for a long time. Then they stroked her head and murmured, "Our Aurie... What would we be without you?" And Aurie felt that they were also deeply touched.

One afternoon, as she lay on the bed looking at her picture, she heard Noah’s voice:

“Come, show me your picture!”

Aurie beamed with joy. She hadn't seen Noah for several weeks. She took her picture from the wall and ran into the garden to her apple tree. There she collapsed into the grass and at that moment Noah appeared next to her.

Aurie looked at Noah, completely spellbound, and enjoyed his wonderful smile. A deep calm spread through Aurie and she was just happy. She held up her picture and showed it to Noah.

Noah smiled at her. "Yes, Aurie, now I can see the radiance in you again. I notice that you remember." He nodded contentedly.

Aurie looked at Noah. "You know, Noah, since you helped me remember my vision, I feel like I have more strength again. I look at my picture for a long time every evening. Now I can feel the love that touches all hearts much better inside me." Aurie smiled happily at that. Then she added thoughtfully: "But you know, I really don't know how my vision is supposed to work. How am I supposed to touch everyone's heart so that they remember the love?"

“Who have you been able to touch with the radiance of your heart?” she asked Noah.

Aurie raised her head. "My grandmother and my parents. They are sitting in front of the picture of my vision and I can see that they are deeply touched. I think that somewhere deep inside they are remembering a little bit."

"Yes, they do, Aurie," Noah confirmed. "And remember, Aurie, you have already touched Paul's heart too. He behaves completely differently towards you.

And your power will continue to grow, Aurie. However, there are a few things you still need to learn so that you can fully live out your vision of why you are here on Earth."

Aurie looked at Noah with wide eyes, curious to see what he would teach her next.

“Why do you like being near your apple tree, Aurie?” she asked Noah.

“Because you’re here!” Aurie grinned.

Noah had to laugh. "Ok. But you liked being here even before you met me. Why?"

Aurie thought for a moment. "I always come to my apple tree because I have peace and quiet here. I can think here. I can cry here when everything is too much for me. I have the feeling that I feel better about myself again after I've sat under my apple tree for a while. I always feel better afterwards and the world feels a little less heavy."

“And what exactly do you do when you’re here?” she asked Noah.

“What am I doing?” Aurie asked in surprise.

"And."

Aurie found Noah's question quite strange. Because she actually didn't do anything.

Noah laughed. "Exactly, Aurie. You're not doing anything. And it's important that there are times when you consciously do nothing. Because what happens if you sit here and do nothing?"

"I observe what is happening around me in the garden. I listen to the wind, I watch the sunlight in the leaves, I smell the scent of the flowers or Grandma's apple pie in the oven. I feel the grass under my fingers. And I breathe deeply and firmly. As I said, I feel like I can breathe again when everything has become too much for me."

"Very good, Aurie. That is the key. When you consciously perceive what is happening around you with all your senses, then thinking takes a break. Your mind and your ego cannot work when you are completely in the here and now. Then real silence arises within you."[1]

“Is that why I feel better then?” asked Aurie.

"When your mind is quiet, you just notice what is in that moment. No story, no version that your mind tells you instead. Then only the feelings that arise in that moment are there. And feelings do not last beyond the moment if your mind does not keep them alive," Noah explained.

“I don’t quite understand,” said Aurie.

"Think of Paul," Noah instructed her. "How many times have you been angry with him and rejected him in your heart, early in the morning, even though nothing has actually happened yet."

Aurie looked at the ground in shame.

"These feelings were only there because your mind kept feeding them. The situation in which they arose was long over. But when your mind is calm, every situation is a new opportunity. You can see it now: If you are open to Paul, he always has a new chance. He behaves completely differently towards you than he does towards others. And if he behaves in a way that bothers you, then you tell him honestly."

Aurie now understood what Noah meant.

“What else happens to you, Aurie, when you are in the silence under your apple tree?” she asked Noah.

"I can feel myself and my body better," said Aurie. "And when I've been here I always feel like I have more energy again."

“Do you know why that is?” she asked Noah.

Aurie shook her head.

"There are places where you can find peace. Where a different energy prevails and you can get back in touch with yourself, with the peace and love within you. We can do this more easily in nature because nature vibrates in unity and radiates love. A place in nature, like under your apple tree, is very suitable for this. And you always know that a place is good for you by whether you can calm down there and feel good there, get energy again. Everyone can look for such places. And it is very important to visit these places regularly, to recharge your batteries there and to really relax."

"I also feel like I can think more clearly when I'm here in the silence," Aurie said after a short silence. "Does that have anything to do with it?" she asked.

"Yes," Noah confirmed. "As soon as your mind and your ego calm down, you feel yourself and your body, you are completely in the here and now, you can come into contact with the deep inner wisdom. There it is possible to find all the answers. That is where creativity arises. You feel what needs to be done right now in this moment and follow this impulse, your intuition. The mind cannot grasp this knowledge. It is too busy with the same things over and over again."

Aurie thought about it.

"You know, Noah, when I'm here under my apple tree, everything is easy for me. But if, for example, I'm at school and I'm not feeling well, then I can't just run away and come here. What can I do to still get in touch with my inner peace and strength?" asked Aurie.

“I’d like to show you an exercise, Aurie.

Your breath is a great help because it accompanies you everywhere. Imagine that you are breathing from one point in your body to another. With every inhalation, you breathe to the top of your head and with every exhalation, you breathe to the soles of your feet. This will quickly bring you into a deep state of relaxation and help you to reduce the stress you feel.[2]

You better try it out right away.”

Aurie sat up a little and began to consciously follow her breathing. With each inhalation she breathed to the top of her head, with each exhalation she breathed to her feet. It took a while until she found a rhythm for herself and managed to concentrate completely on her breathing. Then she felt a much greater sense of calm spreading within her. Wow! She could well imagine that this would help her at school when she felt unwell.

"And now direct your attention to the inner energy field of your body. Do your hands, arms, legs and feet, your stomach, feel alive? Can you feel the subtle energy field in your body that fills every organ and every cell with life? Direct your full attention to the feeling of your inner body without thinking about it. Just feel inside yourself. It may just be a slight tingling or slight warmth that you perceive. The more often you observe your inner energy field, the more you stay in touch with it. Through your inner energy field you come into contact with your inner wisdom, with the silence that vibrates in everything. You can feel the pulse of life, just as you hear your mother's heartbeat when you lie on her chest."[3]

Aurie actually felt a very slight tingling in her right hand as she focused her attention on her inner energy field. It made her smile. She felt much more powerful, just after that short moment.

“Wow, Noah. I feel much more powerful and calm, as if I had been sitting here under my apple tree for hours.”

Noah grinned at her.

"Nature will always help you to get in touch with the silence. The more often you connect with the silence, the easier it will be for you to remain in the silence, even when it is very loud and turbulent around you. The easier it will be for you to perceive yourself and pay attention to yourself. And the more you will remain connected with the deep inner wisdom.

This is a basic requirement if you want to live your vision, dear Aurie.”

For a moment, Aurie felt as if Noah had opened his wings and everything around her was bathed in golden light. She felt deeply touched and felt as if she could feel this light in every cell of her body.

"Practice contact with the silence, Aurie, even when you are not sitting under your apple tree. Be completely connected to your inner energy body."

Noah looked good-naturedly at Aurie and disappeared behind the apple tree.

Deeply touched, Aurie sat there for a while, feeling the gentle tingling in her hands, before she went back inside.
